From 24 to 27 October Borin® will participate in the 53rd edition of Cibus Tec in Parma, organized by Koeln Parma Exhibitions. The joint venture established in 2015 between Fiere di Parma S.p.A. and Koelnmesse GmbH stands out as the first historic fair that since 1939 has hosted innovation and new trends every 3 years, in 400,000 m2 dedicated to the food industries from all over the world.
You will be able to find the latest solutions relating to any production process, from transformation to packaging up to all the ancillary services such as automated logistics, printing and food safety certainly cannot be missing, with all that comes from it, i.e. hygiene, energy and the environment.
More than 1200 exhibitors from 30 different countries will be present and with an average of 40,000 professional visitors in the food sector, including, thanks to important investments and the collaboration with Ice Agenzia, more than 3000 VIP Top Buyers of food & beverage companies from over 60 Countries. Notable presences of Top Buyers from the Middle East and South-East Asia.
Start-up Area
Also this year Cibus Tec confirms itself as a leader in innovation in the food supply chain by hosting the largest area dedicated to the best food tech and AI Based (artificial intelligence) solutions where more than 100 start-ups selected globally will be present, with the collaboration of “Le Village by Crédit Agricole”, Agenzia Ice and other important international partners.
Osservatorio Machinery
Furthermore, as a novelty this year, the first Machinery Observatory for Food & Beverage was announced – created with the support of Nomisma – with a particular focus on the Italian food machinery industry. The objective is to identify the size, performance, markets and competitiveness indices of the supply chain on an international scale.
In particular, we focused on the analysis of the positioning of Italian machinery on international markets, in light of the sector’s strong propensity to export, which in the first quarter of 2023 recorded growth of 20% on a like-for-like basis compared to 2022. .
Packaging path
To enrich its offer there will be a path dedicated to packaging, “NextGen. The future perspectives of food pack”, divided into three levels.
A first, exhibition, with hundreds of leading brands in the sector, which will present the main innovations in alternative packaging and technologies in process automation; a second, experiential, with three active production lines that will take the visitor to the center of the processes of the world of food processing; finally, a third, dedicated to emerging trends in various fields, including those relating to digitalisation, sustainability, innovation, ecological transition, alternative packaging and food safety, through a rich program of conferences.
Food safety
Cibus Tec 2023 is also a point of reference in the field of food safety: in addition to boasting the exhibition presence of the most important Italian and foreign suppliers of laboratory and analysis equipment and solutions, it organises, with LabWorld.it, the LabWorld Arena (an area dedicated to conferences and meetings on the topic of food safety) and hosts the most important Italian conference on the challenges and solutions to combat food contamination.
Training
Furthermore, important Italian and international bodies and institutions have chosen Cibus Tec as a platform to offer training, discussion and analysis on the great challenges of the food supply chain. Among these, the National Order of Food Technologists and in particular the Regional Orders of Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Marche and Umbria will hold three training events which allow those registered in the register to obtain training credits.
